Tax Relief Membership Savings Days at the Whitin Community Center!
Blackstone Valley residents are invited to visit the Whitin Community Center during their Tax Relief Membership Days from Friday, April 13th through Monday, April 16th. Substantial membership discounts will be available each day. On April 16th, building tours will be available, child care will hold an open house, and there will be a free swim in the competition pool from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
This is a great opportunity for families in Douglas to check out the Whitin Community Center. The Whitin Community Center is set to open 2 Group Child Care rooms at the Douglas Early Childhood Center. It is our intention to provide a smooth transition between the closing of Douglas' program, housed at the Elementary/Intermediate School, on June 29th and the opening of ours on July 2nd. Parents, currently enrolled in the Douglas Program, are invited
to our Open House on Monday April 16th at our Whitinsville location.
The Whitin Community Center is a private, non-profit, community-based organization serving the Blackstone Valley since 1922. The Whitin Community Center is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals and families and building a strong community in the Blackstone Valley. We offer social, recreational, educational, and outreach programs that bring community members of all ages and backgrounds together. The Whitin Community Center is the Blackstone Valley’s most complete family and recreation center with approximately 3,700 members, two pools, a gym, a fitness center, child care and after school programs, and a seven-acre park.
